On 5th June Year 9 took part in their Character Day. The focus of the day was to learn about many aspects of Safety. We were very lucky to be joined by St John's Ambulance for their Street First Aid Training. Pupils learnt the basics of CPR, how to stop a catastrophic bleed and how to respond to an emergency.

Throughout the day pupils experienced sessions on the subject of Online Safety (What is appropriate and what is the law?), Online Bullying, Cyber Bullying and it's effects on Mental Health. In addition pupils learnt about Knife Crime and Joint Enterprise.

All pupils that took part will receive their First Aid Training Certificate for to keep in their Character Folders. A Well done to pupils for engaging in so many meaningful conversations around Personal Safety and the actions we can all take to keep ourselves and others safe!
